Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Code Slice LLC (“Surveii,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Surveii website, web dashboard, mobile applications, and related APIs and services (together, the “Service”). Surveii is an AI video-surveillance platform that turns a customer’s existing cameras into live, actionable events. Please read this policy together with our Terms of Use.
Our role: controller and processor
For information about the people who administer and use the Service (account holders), we act as a data controller. For surveillance content captured by a business customer’s cameras (events, snapshots, and clips), we act as a processoron behalf of that customer, who is the controller responsible for lawful camera use. If you are an employee, visitor, or member of the public captured by a customer’s cameras, please direct privacy requests to the organization that operates the site; we will support them in responding.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account & profile data — your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), role, and the organization/tenant you belong to.
- Device & notification data — a push-notification token, app version, device model, operating system, and language, used to deliver alerts to your phone.
- Surveillance content — camera events and their metadata (timestamp, camera, zone, severity, event type), still snapshots, and short video clips. Live video is processed on the customer’s on-premise appliance; only lightweight events, snapshots, and short clips are synced to the cloud.
- Usage & log data — actions you take in the Service (such as acknowledging or resolving an event), IP address, access timestamps, and diagnostic logs used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies — strictly necessary session and authentication cookies. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
What we do not do
- We do not perform facial recognition or biometric identification. Detections are based on objects, motion, poses, and zones — not on identifying named individuals.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not collect your phone’s precise location for advertising.
- We do not access raw video from your cameras — it stays on your on-premise appliance.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including live dashboards and event history.
- Deliver real-time alerts and notifications (push, email) that you or your organization configure.
- Authenticate users, enforce roles and permissions, and keep accounts and data secure.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the reliability and performance of the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
AI and automated processing
To power natural-language search and similar-event lookup, short text descriptions and metadata of events may be processed by a third-party AI provider to generate embeddings and answer questions you ask in the Service. We do not send raw video for this purpose, and this processing is not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about individuals.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Surveillance content (events, snapshots, and clips) is retained according to your organization’s configuration and agreement with us, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period for security and reliability.
Security
We protect information using encryption in transit, access controls, and strict tenant isolation so one customer cannot access another’s data. Live video remains on the on-premise appliance. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to notify you of material incidents as required by law.
International data transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time. To exercise a right, contact us at hello@codeslicellc.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are captured by a customer’s cameras, contact that organization, which controls how its footage is used.
Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time:
- Email hello@codeslicellc.com from the address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request,” or ask your organization’s administrator to remove you.
- We will delete your account profile and push tokens. Surveillance content owned by your organization is governed by that organization’s retention settings and may be retained or deleted by the account owner.
- We may retain a limited amount of information where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Children’s privacy
The Service is a business and security product intended for use by organizations and adults; it is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Cameras operated by our customers may incidentally capture minors; the customer is responsible for lawful use, required notices, and any consents.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
